The CILIP Carnegie Medal is awarded annually to the writer of an outstanding book written in English for children and young people. Medal holders include Arthur Ransome, C.S. Lewis, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Philip Pullman and Sally Gardner. The short-list for the Carnegie Medal has now been announced and
These books are available from the library. Please speak to Miss Davies if you are interested in shadowing the awards and writing a short review for our shadowing page (especially anyone who is up for the challenge of reading all eight books). The winner will be announced on June 19.

The short-list for the Carnegie Medal has been announced. This year’s nominees are:
