House Assembly

With this week being National Careers Week, our house assembly celebrated all things careers. We were lucky enough to have two guest speakers come into school and be grilled by the prefects on their roles, experiences and stories as to how they have got to where they are today. A huge thank you to Katie Stevens - Founder & Director, Greyhound Accountancy and  Siriol Leach - Policy Adviser, Wildlife, International, Climate and Forestry Policy, Defra for giving up their time to come and share their career journey with us. The prefects did a great job of interviewing them!

As part of National Careers Week, Delta House took the lead in organising two whole school activities. The first of which has proven to be very popular! The 'Teen Job' quiz was sent to all tutor groups to go head-to-head to see who could reign supreme in attempting to identify the jobs that members of staff had when they were teenagers. The range of experiences our staff have had is mightily impressive! At the time of writing, 10KBO are currently in the lead but this could all change! The second activity included a 'Teen Job' trail around the school site. This was a competition for individuals to enter to a) locate the 23 posters around the school site and b) correctly identify the member of staff from the clues given. To make things a little easier, posters were put up in the relevant faculty area where the member of staff is usually found. It is not too late to enter!

House Heroes

This week the following students were praised by their tutors for consistently demonstrating the Delta house value of "being your best". Tutors were tasked with what might seem to be an impossible feat in selecting just one student who day in, day out brings their best selves to school. A huge well done to the following students:

  • Morgan Penny (7RBI)
