Latest Sport/PE news from the week.
Bristol Schools X-Country
Year 7, 8 and 9 trials for the Bristol School Cross Country competition will be taking place on Monday 9th October after school. The distances students will be running are:
Year 7 boys & girls - 1.1 miles
Year 8 & 9 boys & girls - 1.5 miles
Bristol Schools Swimming Gala
This event is taking place on Thursday 9th November 5-730pm at Easton Leisure Centre. The gala is open to all Cotham students who compete or have competed for a swim club.
If students are interested in competing, they need to see Mr Collin in the PE office to sign up for an event(s). Events include backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke and front-crawl, all 50 meters. There are also relay events too.
Students have until Wednesday 11th October to sign up to compete.
Tuesday 3rd Oct - Year 7 & 8 vs Bristol Free School (home)
Wednesday 4th Oct - Year 9 Festival @ Redland Green School 4-530pm
Thursday 5th Oct - Year 10 Rugby Festival @ Oasis Brightstowe
Bristol Rovers have confirmed that they will be running again the girls football after school club every Thursday. This is open to all girls in the school.
Thank you to the CoFund for providing the funding for a Bristol Flyers coach to come in every Wednesday 3.15pm-4.15pm until Christmas to coach year 10 & 11 boys and girls.
After School every Wednesday Mr Book will be running a girls rugby club open to all years. To take part girls will need to have a their PE kit, a gum shield and boots as the session will be on the field.
