Using the learn about work link - Students will need to find our school name and log on using the password and PIN number that has been provided. This will then allow students to search and look up companies that have been used for work experience in the past. It will give the address, contact name and contact number and a job description.
WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITIES
Work Experience at Travelling Light
Travelling Light is a nationally and internationally acclaimed storytelling company for children and young people. Our mission is to create outstanding theatre for and with young people that inspires their thinking, engages their emotions and fires their imaginations.
We are inviting 6 young people (aged 14-18) to join us for one full week’s work experience.
The dates for 2020 are: 29th June – 3 rd July
We are unable to accept placements outside of this week.
Avon and Wildlife Trust Work experience
We will be running 5 week long work experience placements on the following dates:
15th June – 19th June
22nd June – 26th June
29th June - 3rd July
6th July – 10th July
13th – 17th July

HMRC is one of the biggest Civil Service departments, employing over 70,000 people in 24 different professions. Bristol regional centre, located alongside Bristol Temple Meads train station employs approximately 1100 people, in a variety of professions. These include tax investigators, project managers, guidance analysts, digital web developers and many more. We are offering 5 days’ work experience to students in Bristol and the surrounding areas who are currently studying in years 10 to 13. The dates are as follows:
Students in Year 10 and 11 – W/C 27 June 2020
Students in Year 11 and 12 – W/C 29 July 2020
Students who wish to apply will need to complete this application form no later than 31 January 2020. We do however encourage students to apply early as the application window may close before the deadline if we receive large numbers.

ATKINS Work Experience

In Bristol, we run two weeks (Mon-Fri) for Y10 students and two weeks (Mon-Fri) for Y12 students. Please see below for the dates of our 2020 work experience in Bristol.
Year 10 dates
Week 1: 29th June – 3rd July 2020
Week 2: 13th July – 17th July 2020
Year 12 dates
Week 1: 20th July – 24th July 2020
Week 2: 27th July – 31st July 2020
As mentioned above, students should be pointed to the Atkins work experience website which includes instructions and a link to the application form.
Students should complete the application form and return it to email@example.com – please ask students to not include a CV as these will not be reviewed for this application, we only look at the application forms from students. These applications forms can be completed online and do not need to be printed out and completed by hand.
Since we only run particular weeks in Bristol, we ask that in the first box in section 4.2 of the application form that students only put down one or both weeks for their year group i.e. a Y10 student may write here “week beginning 29th June” or “week beginning 29th June or 13th July”. Please also can we ask that students write “Bristol” for the office location in the second box in section 4.2 otherwise we will not receive their application here in the Bristol office. This will make the organisation on our end much easier!
Closing dates for applications will be the 1st January 2020. Please ensure that all application forms are sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by that date.
Renishaw has an extensive work experience programme
and are offering Year 10 placements.
Engineering work experience weeks
Students who attend will be allocated into teams and will be given an Engineering project to work on over the course of the week, during the week students will also have the opportunity to meet real Engineers, have a tour of Renishaw and find out a lot more about our career opportunities for young people.
This will be run twice, weeks commencing 6th and 13th July 2020
There will be 48 places each week
Software work experience week
Students who attend this experience will be working in teams on a Software project and will also have the opportunity to find out more about Renishaw, have a tour and find out more about our early career opportunities.
This will be run week commencing 6th July 2020
There will be 20 places
Commercial work experience week
This programme is for students interested in the commercial aspects of business and throughout the week students will be working on a commercial based project and will cover the following areas: Finance, HR, Legal, Sales & Marketing, Purchasing and IT.
This week will be run the week commencing 13th July 2020
There will be 15 places
