PERFORM FOR LIFE: Passionate about performing - both onstage and off

Brand new at Cotham School for January 2019!

An exciting opportunity in school for all Cotham students interested in performing, who are studying a performing arts subject for GCSE or A Level, or who would like to gain accreditation for an extra-curricular activity.

From January 2019, locally-based Perform For Life will be providing tuition to Cotham’s students in school and after school on a weekly basis to study towards Internationally-recognised Certificates with the following prestigious examination bodies:

  • LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts)
  • Trinity College London
  • Rockschool London (RSL)

Students can study any of the following areas:

  • Acting / Devising Drama
  • Singing
  • Public Speaking
  • Performance Arts

Through these lessons, students not only develop their performance ability; they will also build skills they can use away from the stage. Older students can also gain UCAS points at higher grades.

Lessons are available on a one-to-one, duo, small group and larger group basis.

They will be fun and engaging, with opportunity to learn pre-existing repertoire, as well as creating original material.

Tutors are friendly, experienced and qualified. They will take the time to get to know students as individuals, and aim to build a strong rapport with each one.

For more information, go to Perform For Life’s website:

“My daughter loves her one-to-one lessons, and comes back enthused with the variety of new pieces she gets to work on. Sometimes school can be very busy, and Miss Simon’s lessons are such a good motivator and keep her going. Thank you!” (Parent of one-to-one student, King Edward School VI, Southampton)

“Miss is a great and very passionate singing teacher. She really listens to what I would like to do, and is fantastic at coming up with solutions to my voice questions. She is also very good at describing what is actually going on in your throat and mouth when you are singing; I can really picture it and that helps me to improve as a singer!” (One-to-one student, Bristol)
