Outside Bristol Friday 7th February 2020.
Bristol area Friday 3rd April 2020.
Using the learn about work link - Students will need to find our school name and log on using the password and PIN number that has been provided. This will then allow students to search and look up companies that have been used for work experience in the past. It will give the address, contact name and contact number and a job description.
WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITIES
Renishaw has an extensive work experience programme
and are offering Year 10 placements.
Engineering work experience weeks
Students who attend will be allocated into teams and will be given an Engineering project to work on over the course of the week, during the week students will also have the opportunity to meet real Engineers, have a tour of Renishaw and find out a lot more about our career opportunities for young people.
This will be run twice, weeks commencing 6th and 13th July 2020
There will be 48 places each week
Software work experience week
Students who attend this experience will be working in teams on a Software project and will also have the opportunity to find out more about Renishaw, have a tour and find out more about our early career opportunities.
This will be run week commencing 6th July 2020
There will be 20 places
Commercial work experience week
This programme is for students interested in the commercial aspects of business and throughout the week students will be working on a commercial based project and will cover the following areas:Finance, HR, Legal, Sales & Marketing, Purchasing and IT.
This week will be run the week commencing 13th July 2020
There will be 15 places

Law Information Days
During February half-term, on Tuesday 18th and Thursday 20th February, Burges Salmon will be hosting our two Law Information days to provide students, who have an interest in law, with an insight into a career in the profession. The sessions will include talks from different lawyers in the firm, external speakers as well as interactive group exercises and an optional advice clinic, facilitated by the HR team, on the application and recruitment process. (Events are always oversubscribed.)
Dates to note - are as follows:
GCSE day – Tuesday 18th February 2020
A Level day – Thursday 20th February 2020
The above events will commence at 10.30am (with registration from 10.15am) until 3pm (with an optional careers advice clinic from 3 until 4pm). Places are limited to 5 students per school, on a first-come first-served basis. Bright Sparks - Work Experience Programme
Launched in 2013 this bespoke programme was developed to allow school students from a variety of backgrounds to gain skills and experience by participating in workshops and group projects, presenting to business people as well as experiencing life in a busy law firm. Each summer between 24 to 28 placements are provided, up to 14 students per week, aimed at Years 10 to 12 students. You are advised to get your applications in early.
Dates are as follows:
Week 1: 6th - 10th July 2020 (Cotham Year 10 please choose this date and apply - when you are successful we will seek to authorise your absence in addition to your designated week - w.c.29.6.20
Week 2: 13th – 17th July 2020

Burges Salmon Law Firm in Bristol provide between 24 to 28 work experience placements, up to 14 students per week, aimed at Years 10 to 12 students. They welcome applications from a wide range of schools.
